FILE BACK UP Backing up means that you have a copy of your files in more than one location. In other words, in addition to being stored on your computer hard drive, your files are also stored on another place such as your BGA network drive, Microsoft SkyDrive, or external hard drive. The BGA network drive appears in your "My Computer" icon after you log on here at school. It is not accessible at home. There is a 250 Megabyte limit on the amount of files that can be stored on our network, so this location is best for just school files. Your Windows SkyDrive is part of your BGA email account. It gives you 25 Gigabytes of cloud storage (accessible anywhere on the internet). To use it, please first download and install SkyDrive Explorer, then look in your "My Computer" icon for the SDExplorer icon. You log in with your BGA email username (full email address) and password. An external hard drive is a device you can buy at a computer store that attaches to your tablet by USB cable. A typical size for this drive is 1 Terabyte, and a typical cost is about $100. Video Tutorial: Please watch & listen to this video to learn how to back up your school files.
